Today we're excited to unveil 'Lockdown Love Stories on the High Street x Derwent London', our recent collaboration with artist and writer @philippa_found. This August, we have transformed the windows of 13 Derwent London spaces to exhibit the public art project, @lockdown_lovestories.
Lockdown Love Stories is an ever-growing digital archive of over 1,000 anonymous love stories told throughout the pandemic.
"At a time when we were spending more time online, disconnected from human contact, I felt the risk to our collective mental health would be at an all-time high. The aim was to counter the false ideals and toxic positivity with a project that's premise was not to show me a curated edit of what love looks like, but to tell me what the unfiltered reality feels like." Philippa Found, Creator of Lockdown Love Stories.
In April 2021, Lockdown Love Stories was awarded the London Community Story Grant to bring insights from the stories submitted to City Hall and inform post-pandemic mental health recovery policy. It is a legacy that shows the real impact our true stories can have and how important they can be for societal change.
